Recreational League

Kent Roller Girls Recreational League is the name for our beginner sessions aimed at all levels, even if you’ve never put on skates before. We provide a space to learn roller derby at a pace that you choose.

Founded in July 2013, our rec league skaters follow a program which is designed to teach all the skills needed to play roller derby. However, if you just want to come along on a more casual basis and have a bit of fun on 8 wheels, that’s cool too!

Worried that you don’t have all the kit???

Well, that is no problemo! We can provide all* the protective gear needed to skate and our venue are kitted out with all sorts of sizes of skates at no extra charge!

*Well, we say all. We ask that you please bring along your own mouthguard, as borrowing one would be gross!

Want to join us? Email us on for full details!

Kent Roller Girls Recreational League currently train on Sundays from 4pm – 6pm at The Bay Sports Arena, Herne Bay. We also have a dedicated Facebook group to help you out on your roller derby journey.

You are welcome to start at any of our Sunday sessions (please to drop us a line first so we know you’re coming!), or you can come along to one of our FREE open days! Our next Open Day is Sunday 9th February – Full details over on our Facebook Page
